Note that online registration and booking of accommodation has now closed for 2011.
Particicipants in this year's Oban Sea Kayak Race can also take advantage of accommodation at Kilbowie Outdoor Centre, which is the launching point for the race. The Centre has 30 standard rooms with two sets of bunk beds sleeping 4 people and 9 single rooms, and will also be offering camping facilities.
There are shared toilet/shower blocks within each floor which will be designated ladies or gents according to the occupancy of the adjoining rooms. The centre also has large male and female changing and drying rooms on the ground floor. You can see more information on the centre online at www.ea.n-lanark.sch.uk/kilbowie.
Accommodation costs are:
- camping £5 per person, per night
- standard room, £15 per person, per night
- single room, £20 per person, per night
- family room, £45 per room, per night
You will also be able to purchase meals from Kilbowie. Breakfast (£3.50) will be choice of cereals, a hot filled roll, fruit juice, tea or coffee. Packed Lunch (£3.00) is 2 filled rolls, home baking, fruit, juice drink and crisps. Evening meals (£6.50) are 2 courses (main & sweet), tea or coffee. There will be a choice of 2 main courses with a vegetarian option.
Camping can be booked and paid for with your race registration, but accommodation in the Centre and all meals must be booked separately.
